Northern Illinois University

The Department has a strong and committed Advisory Council.

The Council has the following objectives:

provide guidance to the Department for its undergraduate and graduate programs
assist the Department in reviewing its mission statement and objectives
provide input on other issues important to the Department in retaining its AACSB accreditation
assist in review of courses to make sure they are relevant and appropriate in terms of content and skill development
provide opportunities for faculty to develop relevant practical experience
serve as contacts at firms and corporations
