Prepping for Presentations the Right Way

I found a great article on Forbes.com by Bill Rosenthal today about prepping for presentations.  Take a few minutes to check it out, especially if you struggle with presentation nerves or jitters like I do.  Here’s a preview:

“You can’t make an effective presentation if you read from a script, rely too much on notes, or use your slides as cue cards. You have to rehearse well enough so you can give all your attention to the audience. Most everybody knows this. But not everybody knows how to rehearse. Many presenters read a script silently to themselves until they’ve got it down. But it’s much better to rehearse the presentation the way you’ll deliver it—standing, aloud, and with the passion, pacing, and movement you’ll actually use. You may surprise yourself to see how much better you come across with each rehearsal.”
