NIU Business (formerly known as BusinessNetwork) is published annually. The magazine shares a collection of theme-based activities that are engaged in by NIU business students, alumni, and faculty. Uniting the themes is the college brand: NIU College of Business Where the Classroom Meets the Business World. Over its 40 plus year history, the college has built a strong reputation for its ability to both generate new ideas and artfully execute those ideas. This ability comes from the institution's long-held and close relationships with the Chicago and Rockford area business communities. Shared learning between the college and the business sector were described in previous issues of NIU Business when the college underwent leadership changes and when the college worked with the business community to infuse ethics into the curriculum. The current edition (year 2009) -- "Making an Impact" -- celebrates you and describes the meaningful ways in which you impact the lives of our students, the value of your degree, education overall, and indeed, the world.
