Craig Funkhouser is responsible for the supervision of audit engagements with a concentration in manufacturers, distributors, and other commercial entities at Crowe Chizek and Company LLC. Further, he is responsible for the sales and marketing activities for Crowe Chizek's Illinois Business Assurance Unit. In addition to audit engagements, Craig has spent a significant part of his career assisting companies with their merger and acquisition activities.
Craig is the Delivery Unit Executive-in-Charge of the Assurance Services Practice Group for the Oak Brook office. Also, he coordinates the on-campus recruiting effort for the Oak Brook office. He has served on many firm-wide committees including the Executive Committee Screening Committee, New Partner Screening Committee, Value Creation Committee, Audit Efficiency Task Force, Audit Reengineering Committee, and the Accounting and Auditing Policy Committee.
Craig is actively involved in a variety of community organizations. He is a charter member and currently serves as a Board member of the Northern Illinois University Executive Club. In addition, he is the Chairman of the annual golf outing for the Executive Club and previously served as the club's Vice President of Finance. He is a Board member and currently serves as the Greens Committee Chairman for the Naperville Country Club. Additionally, he is active in fundraising activities for the Naperville Central High School Booster Club Annual Golf Outing. Previously, Craig has served as a member of the Northern Illinois University Accountancy Executive Advisory Council and DePaul University's Visiting Advisory Committee to the Department of Accountancy. Further, he has served as the President, Treasurer, and Board member of the Naperville Jaycees and has served as finance committee chairman for the Little Friends' Annual Benefit Auction.
Craig is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Craig and his wife, Mary Kay, reside in Naperville. Their children, Allison and Dan, attend Naperville Central High School.
