FACULTY ADVISORS
Denise Schoenbachler - Chair, Department of Marketing
Denise Schoenbachler is Professor and Department of Marketing Chair at NIU. She has been at NIU since 1992 and has served as chair for the past three years. Denise teaches marketing management and marketing strategy courses in NIU's Executive MBA and MBA programs, and database and direct marketing courses at the undergraduate level. Her research focuses on marketing strategy and database marketing.
Carol DeMoranville - Department of Marketing
Carol DeMoranville is an Associate Professor in her 10th year at NIU. She ran a successful yacht charter business prior to going back to school for an MBA and PhD. She specializes in experiential learning in the classroom and has a long record of working with the business community in both her marketing research and services marketing courses. Her research focuses on services marketing, consumer decision making, and marketing education.
Elisa Fredericks - - Department of Marketing
Elisa Fredericks is a native New Yorker and brings a wealth of experience from AT&T, Revlon, International Playtex, Johnson Products, Co. Inc. and Soft Sheen Products where she served in various marketing management and product development managerial and executive positions. Her research interests include virtual product development and cross-functional team dynamics and how both influence business-to-business firms. Dr. Fredericks teaches both undergraduate and undergraduate courses in product planning and development, marketing research, and business-to-business marketing.
Laura Vazquez - Department of Communications
Laura Vazquez is currently an Assistant Professor teaching media theory and production courses. Her research
interests focus on documentary film theory and practice. Her students
have placed in numerous student film festivals. Most recently, Vazquez directed Ruth Weisberg: On the Journey (2003), a
documentary about the art and artistry of contemporary artist, Ruth
Weisberg. She received an Aurora Award for this documentary which has
been screened in Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and, later this fall, in New York at the National Council of Jewish Women
Film Festival.

TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
Brett Schoenbachler
Brett Schoenbachler is a junior finance major from Monroe Center, IL. He will graduate in December 2005. Brett has worked for Technology Services for the College of Business. He is currently overseeing the coordination of technology for the Marketing Apprentice Class.
