Only the west and east exterior doors of Barsema Hall are unlocked. The hours are as follows:
| Monday-Friday | 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. |
| Saturday | 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. |
| Sunday | 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. |
Faculty and staff are assigned a separate key that will unlock the outside doors to the building. As you enter and exit the building outside of the time specified above, please verify that the outside door is locked after you pass through it.
All keys for the building are centrally managed and distributed by the Dean's Office, room 139. NIU's key control will not process key requests from any department or individual directly. All locks for the building are patented and therefore cannot be duplicated by any outside key maker.
