"Coming to NIU, I wanted my focus to be within business, but I didn't have an exact path that I was interested in. I knew that I liked the financial aspect of business (FINA, ACCY), I liked the management of resources (MGMT), sales (Marketing), and the technical side (OMIS). This led me to finding the major that I believe was one of the best decision I made in my life.

Becoming a Business Administration major allowed me to set up a strong foundation to becoming a well rounded business professional. After receiving my degree, I wanted to find a position where I can utilize these skills that I have acquired and still have the ability to grown full circle as well. I found TEKsystems to offer me everything that I was looking for in a career. TEKsystems is the largest IT staffing firm in the country for the past 7 years with 98% of the fortune 500 companies as their primary clients. Without any IT knowledge I was initially reluctant, but the more I looked at the company as a whole I realized that this is a stable company with opportunities to grow as a business professional and personally. Everyday, I touch every aspect of business without being in a "cube farm," and regulated to just doing monotonous work. My day changes everyday, which challenges me to overcome all obstacles presented. I get to meet interesting and successful people everyday as well, which in turn motivates me to become better at what I do."
