Communications Lab

The college's Communications Lab (CL) provides instructional support related to communication technology. The lab is used by students, faculty, and staff of the College of Business.

The CL provides support to MGMT 347, a business communication course, and other business courses and activities that emphasize oral and written communication. In addition, the CL supports faculty and staff development activities designed to increase their communication technology competencies.

Samples of Instructional Support for Students include:

  1. WEB-based communication tutorials
  2. WEB-based instructional support such as conducting WEB searches
  3. Preparation of oral and written group projects
  4. Communication software support such as "Preparing Team Presentations"
  5. Communication technology instruction, both tutorials and workshops such as "Using Power Point"
  6. Interactive communication activities between students and faculty such as revising, writing the first draft, proofreading.

Samples of Instructional Support for Faculty and Staff include:

  1. Communication technology instruction such as "Using Blackboard"
  2. Learning to use university and college information systems such as PeopleSoft.
  3. Learning (and practicing) how to use Barsema Hall classroom technologies.
