Work the Room Event

After attending a social networking event hosted by a company for recruiting purposes, our former president decided to model such an event for the CSAB. The event is now hosted bi-annually at local restaurants and pubs to help members learn how to network in a mixer style environment, much like they may have to do in the real world. Students have learned:

• How to speak to business professionals outside of interviews, internships, and jobs
• How to pick up on social cues to drive conversation and build their network
• How to politely exit a conversation and enter another
