Social Impact Summit – April 2015

This years Social Impact Summit will feature some of the best social entrepreneurs, both local and international! Chicago rock star, Stacy Ratner will be the keynote. In addition to being named on Forbes Forty Over Forty list, Stacy has had a great amount of success in the social space and continues to be an inspiration for students. The Summit will also feature organizations such as KPMG, Youthful Savings, NB&T, Back on My Feet, McDonalds, Youth Build, CATIS, One Million Degrees, Altus Academy and Human Connections.

Careers With a CAUSE – January 2015

This networking event, co-hosted by NGOLD and CSE, brought internship and volunteer opportunities to the table for students interested in pursuing a career in the social sector. A variety of different companies attending including non-profits with a focus on education and literacy such as Hooray Learning, City Year, and One Million Degrees, and some service organizations like Serve Illinois, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and the Corporation for National and Community Outreach.  Easter Seals, Goody City, and Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance also attended.

Careers with a CAUSE - November 2014

Careers for a CAUSE, co-hosted by the Center for Social Entrepreneurship and the Center for NGO Leadership and Development (NGOLD) is a networking opportunity for Northern Illinois' students interested in pursuing careers in the social sector. This event will expose students to companies and job possibilities relevant to their interests and passions. Careers with a Cause will also give social employers the opportunity to meet and observe the next generation of social entrepreneurs who can add value to their companies.

Panel Discussion - October 2014

Join us at the Social Entrepreneurship Executive Panel Discussion to hear various professionals discuss their experiences as professionals in the social space.
