Dr. Sarah Marsh joined the NIU College of Business in 1997. She currently serves as an associate professor and chair for the Management Department. Her specialties include corporate and competitive strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and technological innovation. She has conducted research in the areas of accessing and integrating knowledge in acquisitions and alliances and building on new product development success for long-term competitive advantage. Dr. Marsh has consulting and industry experience. She served as an international expansion consultant for North Carolina Small Business Technology and Development Center, a technical specialist (research associate) for Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories, and a marketing coordinator and Administrator for Capital Systems Group. Dr. Marsh is also an ad hoc reviewer for the Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Management, a reviewer for the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management, and a Strategic Management and International Track Chair for the 2001 Midwest Academy of Management Meeting. She earned a Ph.D. in strategic management and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.A. in economics and French from Grinnell College.
