
College / University Requirements
- A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for graduation.
- Students must attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all NIU credits and a 2.0 in the major.
- At least 60 semester hours of the 120 semester hours required for the baccalaureate degree must be taken in subjects other than business and economics (9 semester hours of economics and 6 hours of statistics may be counted towards non-business).
- No student with a major/minor in the College of Business will be permitted to take any business courses on the pass/fail basis.
- Students may enroll in a business course no more than twice. A withdrawal from a 300- or 400-level business course counts as an enrollment. Students enrolling in a junior-senior level business course may not subsequently transfer that course from another college or university.
- A minimum of 6 semester hours of credit in senior (400-level) courses required in the major must be earned at NIU.
- Students may only count up to 8 semester hours in KNPE activity courses towards the 120 semester hours to graduate.
- A minimum of 40 semester hours must be in courses numbered 300 and/or 400.
- Students must earn at least 30 semester hours at NIU after having earned 80 semester hours.
