Data processing courses were added to the business curriculum and the Department of Business Systems and Analysis was formed in this decade.
The M.B.A. program was accredited by AACSB in 1977.
In 1979, the college formalized its relationship with the business community by creating the College’s Board of Executive Advisors. Nearly 100 business professionals from a variety of firms and industries collaborate with college faculty and staff to directly influence the college’s operations and its educational offerings.
James Benson was appointed dean of the college serving from 1975 until 1986.
