"Hot Topics in Internet Marketing" Conference

Sponsored by the College of Business' Interactive Marketing area of study and Online Marketing Institute, the conference was held on May 18th, 2011 at the NIU Naperville campus.

This all-day program with break-out sessions allowed attendees to customize an experience where they learned from leading academics and professionals in the areas of Internet Strategy, Email Marketing, Search, Social Demand Generation, and more. Continental breakfast, am and pm breaks, a hot lunch and plenty of opportunities to network were included.

Marketing Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents interested in developing and maintaining their skills in this area learned the following:

  • how to plan, implement and measure marketing campaigns that incorporate internet technology.
  • how to utilize the latest techniques in search and social media, demand generation, web site usability testing and other internet marketing techniques.
  • how to integrate these techniques into an overall integrated marketing communications strategy and your marketing plan.
