Class size is limited to 40 students. Throughout the program you will share perspectives and experiences with a diverse group of professionals in a team-building environment.
Each applicant must submit the following documents to the Professional M.B.A. Program.
Application Form: Students should complete and mail the Graduate School application form and supplemental information form as early as possible. Applications are considered in order of receipt. Application six to eight months prior to start of program is highly encouraged.
Application Fee: The application fee of U.S. $30 is to be paid by money order or check drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to Northern Illinois University, and must be attached to the application form when the application is submitted. Do not send cash.
College Transcript: An official transcript from the college or university from which the student graduated must be sent directly from that institution to the Professional M.B.A. Office.
Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation are required and must be sent directly from the writer to the Professional M.B.A. Office. Letters of recommendation should be completed by a professional associate who has known the candidate at least one year.
Sponsor Agreement Form: A signed sponsor form must be mailed to the Professional M.B.A. Office.
Interview: A personal interview with the director must be arranged after an application is submitted.

Applicants are selected primarily on the basis of work history, undergraduate grade point average, and GMAT score. A minimum of three to five years' work experience and a baccalaureate degree in business are required. An undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a 4.00 scale) and a score of 450 or higher on the GMAT are expected.
