Faculty

Faculty members are selected primarily for their teaching ability and their proven ability to relate to experienced managers. Selection to teach in the Executive M.B.A. Program is considered a mark of distinction. Tenure and rank are not considered. The faculty includes, but is not limited to:



Timothy W. Aurand, Ed.D., Northern Illinois University; associate professor of marketing; frequent seminar speaker for University of Wisconsin-Madison, Management Institutes; numerous publications relating to building brand loyalty, university sports/athletic marketing, and mass customization; winner of the Golden Apple Award*; teaches marketing management.



Jon Briscoe, D.B.A., Boston University; consultant to Manus Associates and Orbis Learning Corporation; presented at conferences nationally and internationally; author of numerous articles on organizational behavior; research in organizational leadership, careers, and ethical behavior; teaches organizational behavior.



James P. Burton,Ph.D., University of Washington; consultant seminar leader to a variety of organizations, including Boeing and Verizon; research interests include negotiation effectiveness and employee retention, teaches negotiation and conflict management.



B. Douglas Clinton, C.P.A., Ph.D., University of Texas at Arlington; associate professor; numerous articles in various areas of accounting, frequent presenter at professional conferences, serves on not-for-profit boards; consultant with the Missouri Department of Corrections; teaches cost accounting.



James M. Johnson, Ph.D., Ohio State University; professor of finance; consultant to business and industry specializing in corporate finance, and lease finance; conducts numerous workshops for the industry organizations and private firms; published over 50 articles and books; advised numerous firms, including AT&T, Amoco, Coca Cola Financial, GE Capital, IBM Credit, and U.S. Department of Defense; winner of several Golden Apple Awards*; teaches financial analysis and co-teaches capstone case study.



Charles Petersen II, Ph.D., Indiana University; associate professor of operations management and information systems; author of publications in the area of production management; presented papers before the Decision Sciences Institute; taught quantitative and logistics management seminars in Finland and Egypt; professional experience with McDonnell Douglas Corporation; teaches operations analysis.



Donald J. Reilly, MS, Computer Science, Loyola University of Chicago; Executive MBA, 2003, Northern Illinois University; CISSP. Adjunct professor, Operations Management and Information Systems. Currently, senior manager, operations, telecommunications; has held positions in technology companies involving Software Development, Project Management, Technical Support of Sales and Sales Management in the domestic and International markets. Consulting experience in management and technical engagements for Real Estate, Construction, Gaming, Music and Retail industries. International panel speaker on Intellectual Property legislation, traveled to and done business in 26 countries, judged capstone case study competition.



Manu K. Vora, Ph.D., Illinois Institute of Technology, MBA, Keller Graduate School of Management; adjunct professor; over 230 presentations on business excellence around the globe; numerous publications relating to managing human capital, voice of the customer management, process improvement and leadership development; recipient of Grant Medal and Lancaster Medal from the American Society for Quality; teaches management of information systems technology.



*Golden Apple Award--An annual award presented to the two faculty members whom each graduating class considers the outstanding first- and second-year professors.
