MBA Program Applications
Applicants for any of the four NIU MBA programs must complete the NIU graduate application form and submit additional supporting documents specific to their chosen program. Applicants are encouraged to submit the graduate application form and application fee of $40 as soon as possible. Please visit appropriate program's site to better understand the admissions process and acquire the additional forms.
Most MBA applicants are required to submit a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score. It is strongly suggested that all candidates consider admission deadline dates when scheduling an appointment for testing. Early test taking offers the candidate the best opportunity for admission into the program.
The NIU College of Business now offers a comprehensive 24-hour GMAT preparation course. For enrollment information, click here.
Graduate Assistantships and other Financial Aid Options
A limited number of graduate assistantships are offered by each department to assist students. These assistantships, which can involve classroom teaching or other options, are awarded on a competitive basis to full-time students who are in good academic standing. These assistantships typically entail responsibilities in return for a tuition-waiver scholarship and monthly stipend.
Additional funding options can be found through the Graduate Student Grants & Fellowship Office which has access to over 500 private and public funding sources.
