Why did you choose the Executive MBA format?

Having several options to choose for a MBA, I chose the Executive MBA program from NIU because its structure focused on real world experience and cohort learning. You start the class with peers of similar work experience, you share your knowledge and experience with the class, you learn from each other and from experienced instructors, and you finish the program as a group. The program structure offered work, family and curriculum balance. The international trip offering real perspectives and experience of global management interested me. The 18 month duration and the class meeting every Saturday suited my schedule.

What have you found to be the most rewarding part of the MBA program thus far?

The entire 18 months of the program was very busy but, rewarding. I developed new long lasting friendship with my classmates. I expanded my professional network with classmates, instructors, guest speakers and others out of this program. I learned lot that I could apply in my business. The real world business consulting projects are the most rewarding part of the Executive MBA program. Working with two real businesses - one in the first year and another in the second year, understanding their business and problems, and offering acceptable and executable solutions for their success was a great experience.
