Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Minor
The Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Minor is offered to students (all majors) across NIU to foster their abilities to think entrepreneurially, develop new ventures, and pursue entrepreneurial projects within larger organizations. Students enrolled in this minor will learn to:
- Apply key concepts in commerce and entrepreneurship
- Recognize opportunities to develop and market products or services
- Identify clients' unmet needs
- Generate multiple income streams from new ventures

Important Notes:
- Retention in the Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor requires a C or better in all courses in the minor.
- Enrollment in MGMT 427 is competitive, based on the student's overall GPA.
- Students must complete an application for the minor by semester deadline. Applications and deadline dates are available in the Department of Management.
- It is the student's responsibility to declare the minor in the Department of Management and complete the requirements.
