I chose my major because … I like to work with people and I want to be in a leadership role when I graduate.

My favorite class or professor at NIU is … Jon Briscoe for my MGMT 447 "Leadership" class. He's awesome. He's entertaining and engaging as he shares his research, theories and new leadership concepts with the class, and he focuses on ways that you can develop yourself, take advantage of your strengths, re-channel your weaknesses and raise your leadership potential.

My favorite thing to do on campus is … be involved in everything. Leading, advising and engaging in different organizations on campus is a thrill for me.

Outside of the classroom, my favorite thing at NIU that really enhances my experience here is … the Rec Center because it offers a multitude of services and facilities for working out, playing sports and doing things outside.

When I have free time, I like to … hang out with my girlfriend and friends, play football, go to NIU theatre productions, work out, volunteer my time and research career/business opportunities.

One thing I wish I knew about actual college life before I got here is … once you start getting involved in everything on campus, it becomes sort of like a career!

One positive thing I have learned about myself since coming to NIU is … you don't need to go to a Big Ten or Ivy League school in order to make a difference on the campus and national level.

If I was guaranteed success, I would ... be president of the United States.

After graduation, I plan to … take MBA courses in my spare time, and eventually build a real estate and investment business.

The one NIU experience I will always remember will be ... taking an entrepreneurship and innovation course with Dennis Barsema.
