NIU's student chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) has been awarded a Superior Merit Award by the national SHRM professional organization. This award recognizes NIU's high performing student chapter for quality of its professional development activities and its professional operation.
Please join me in congratulating the student and faculty leadership of SHRM for this achievement. Student leaders include Nate Meyers, Terrance Tyler, Eva Mascote, Katie Maslanka, and Nicki Otero. Faculty advisors are Terry Bishop and Curt Behrens.

Congratulations to NIU's Society for Advancement of Management student organization for receiving an award as an outstanding chapter in the nation! The NIU SAM Chapter took second place in the Large Division category of the SAM Chapter Performance Program. They received the award at the SAM International Conference recently held in Orlando, Florida.
The Executive Board members include Ryan Flynn, Justin Gress, Stacey Haas, Todd Hollingsworth, Josh Huseman, Tony Ivancic, Joe Martillaro, and Amanda Sloyan.
