Robert Rothkopf

The Management Department awarded the 2009 Distinguished Management Alumnus Award to Robert H. Rothkopf for his professional accomplishments and service to Northern Illinois University and the community. Mr. Rothkopf earned his B.S. in Management in 1967 and his M.S. in Management in 1973.

Currently, Mr. Rothkopf serves as President of Semblex Corporation in Elmhurst, Illinois, and he has held this position since 2004. Prior to this position, Mr. Rothkopf had operated his own consulting firm and had numerous leadership positions in the automotive and fastener business having worked for Chrysler Corporation, Camcar Textron, and Elco Industries.

Mr. Rothkopf has served Northern Illinois University in numerous ways, including serving as a member of the College of Business Board of Executive Advisers and serving as a mentor and guest speaker in Management classes in the college. He was also past recipient of the University's Excellence in Corporate Achievement award. Mr. Rothkopf has also been active with the United Way, Golden Apple, MELD and other fundraising activities in Rockford.
