Human Resource Program

The NIU Department of Management offers a B.S. degree that prepares graduates for careers in human resource management. Graduates with an area of study in human resource management have:

  • Mastered the functional areas of human resource management
  • Developed interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Developed skills in decision making, leadership, and computer applications
  • Achieved human resource management proficiency for entry-level positions through course work and professional experiences, which include internships, guest lecture presentations, and visits with business organizations.
