Sigma Iota Epsilon started at Northern
Illinois University
in 1963. It is a
honorary and professional management society open to all majors and
its purpose is two fold: to encourage and
recognize scholastic excellence and to promote cooperation between the
academic and practical aspects of management.
Objectives
- Stimulate interest and
achievement in the field of management.
- Stimulate scholarship in
management.
- Facilitate contacts between
students and practicing managers.
- Recognize persons who have made
contributions to the field of management.
- To gain recognition of the
contribution and value of scholastic achievement in the management
discipline.
