The NIU Department of Management held its 2009 Senior Dinner and Awards Banquet in April to recognize the achievements of graduating seniors, student organizations, faculty and award its 2009 Distinguished Management Alumni Award.
Robert Rothkopf was awarded the 2009 Distinguished Management Alumnus Award to recognize his professional accomplishments in the automotive and fastener businesses and his service to Northern Illinois University. He graduated from NIU with his B.S. in Management in 1967 and his M.S. in Management in 1973.
At the banquet, the department awarded eight scholarships to students for their academic achievements, leadership, and service to the department, college, university and community, as follows:

Management Horizon Award, Candice Allen
At the banquet, Professor Lynn Neeley was recognized as the department's nominee for the Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award. Paul Vlajcic was recognized as the department's nominee for the Excellence in Undergraduate Instruction Award.
