The Department of Management at Northern Illinois University has awarded Audrey Southard its 2007 Distinguished Alumni Award. Audrey was selected for this award because of her professional accomplishments in the field of human resources and her continuing support of NIU students and programs.
Since graduating from NIU, Audrey has collaborated with faculty to enhance programs in human resource management and across the college. She has been a frequent guest speaker and active with the student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. She also serves on NIU's College of Business Board of Executive Advisors.
Audrey currently serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at the Follett Higher Education Group in Oak Brook, Illinois. As the chief executive in charge of Human Resources, she manages a diverse workforce and is responsible for all aspects of human resource management in the company. She started her career in HR at Nabisco Foods and has also been at the Chicago Tribune. Audrey earned her B.S. in Management from NIU in 1985. More >>
