Degree Requirements

Lower-Division Requirements
All business majors must first complete the following prerequisite courses with a C or better before beginning courses in their major during their junior year.

  • ACCY 206, Introductory Financial accounting
  • ACCY 207, Introductory Cost Management
  • MGMT 217, Legal Environment of Business
  • OMIS 259, Introduction to Business Information Systems
  • UBUS 223, Introduction to Business Statistics
  • ECON 260, Principles of Microeconomics
  • ECON 261, Principles of Macroeconomics
  • ENGL 104, Rhetoric and Composition II (or ENGL 105)
  • MATH 211, Calculus for Business and Social Sciences or MATH 229, Calculus I
  • PSYC 102, Introduction to Psychology
  • UBUS 100 - Career Compass. This course is optional for transfer students with 45 or more credit hours.

Upper-Division Requirements
Management students have two emphases to choose from: Human Resource Management or Leadership & Management. Each student must select their emphasis by the second semester of their junior year.

During their first semester of their junior year and while enrolled in UBUS 310 (Business Core) a transcript review form must be completed and submitted to the Management Department. Go to retention requirements for information.

Other Graduation Criteria
A grade of "C" required in all courses required in the major, including business core, elective, or required Management courses. A minimum of 120 hours must be completed to graduate.
