Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from Northern Illinois University, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
- A minimum of 120 semester hours
- A minimum of 40 semester hours in 300/400 level courses
- A cumulative AND major GPA of at least 2.0. Major GPA is calculated using all 300/400 level courses required by your major.
- No more than 12 semester hours of credit in pass/fail courses can count toward the 120 semester hour requirement.
- No more that 8 semester hours in elective physical education activity courses will count toward the 120-semester-hour requirement.
- Must earn 30 semester hours at NIU after 80 hours have been earned.
- Satisfy the English, Oral Communication and Math core competencies.
- Satisfy General Education Requirements
- Satisfy all requirements for the major in Operations and Information Management.
- 60 hours earned outside College of Business and Economics.
* NOTE: No student with a major or minor in the College of Business will be permitted to take any business course on the pass/fail basis.
