Thank you for your interest in the Master of Science program in Management Information Systems at Northern Illinois University. We offer the M.S. in MIS in DeKalb and at the NIU-Naperville location at 1120 E. Diehl Road. Course offerings are scheduled in the evening at both locations to accommodate a broad range of students.
Our program prepares students for challenging careers guiding organizations in the effective use of information systems resources. The program integrates general and functional management knowledge with the theory and practical application of sophisticated information systems. The Management Information Systems program effectively combines a select student body, a rigorous program of study, and a highly qualified, student-oriented faculty.
Our students are a highly motivated group of adults, many of whom have significant business work experience. The academic backgrounds of our students are varied and include the areas of business, engineering, computer science, and the liberal arts. The student body is bright, diverse, hard working, and representative of many cultures and nationalities.
