B.S. in Operations and Information Management

Today, as more areas of the economy recognize the critical need for productive, cost effective, and efficiently run operations, many companies are adopting improved methods of managing their operations. Effective resource management is necessary for survival in a competitive environment. This is true in both the manufacturing and the service sectors of the economy.

The Bachelor of Science degree program in Operations and Information Management prepares students for positions in areas relating to the analysis, design, implementation, and management of the operations and information systems of manufacturing and service organizations. The operations and information management program stresses the integration of business operations, information systems and logistics. The program also exposes students to the areas of operations analysis, supply chain management, project management, electronic business and other leading edge information technologies, and allows students to participate on several team projects providing them with the knowledge, communication skills, and leadership experience that are highly demanded by the professional business community.
