Bachelor of Science in Operations & Information Management
The OM&IS program focuses on the application of information technology to the solution of business problems.
Graduation and the attainment of that first job are major goals for our students. In addition to a strong curriculum designed to aid our students in attaining their goals, all undergraduate majors are required to take a career planning course that exposes students to career opportunities, job hunting strategies, resume preparation, mock interviewing, and accepted business dining etiquette.
Students are also encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the student organizations within the department. The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), APICS-- The Association for Operations Management, and OM&IS SAB provide excellent opportunities to develop professional skills while becoming more involved with the department.
Marketable Student Portolio
OM&IS requires its graduates to complete an electronic portfolio. The ePortfolio is an organized evidence of work readiness and specific job skills that students can show employers as evidence of skills and work preparedness.
