The College of Business NIU Rockford Club (formerly Rockford Area Alumni Club), officially established Fall 1998, was formed to fill a need of alumni in the Rockford area to connect with NIU College of Business to:
The Alumni Club has sponsored over six seminars - all well received and well attended. There have been topics ranging from business ethics and the structure of mergers to a look at the mayoral candidates and local health care. Seminars are planned every spring and fall to focus on such topics of current interest, such as career transitions. These seminars present an opportunity to participate in ongoing education as well as a chance to expand your network of contacts in the business world before and after the seminars with other faculty, alumni and students.
