Professional Sales Program Annual Golf Outing

This year's event will begin at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and networking and 30 minutes of practice followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start playing a scramble format. We will play as many holes as possible for three hours. At noon we will exit the golf course and reassemble for lunch, more networking and a huge raffle. The event will be limited to a total of 36 foursomes. Space is limited so register early to ensure your company's participation!

Each Foursome $495.00

Each foursome will consist of 2-3 players from your company and 1-2 sales students.

History of the Event

This golf outing was developed in 1997 to help NIU undergraduate sales students understand how to use golf as a selling tool. The event has been written about in the Chicago Tribune; Daily Herald; Aurora Beacon; Sales and Marketing Management; Sales and Marketing: Strategies and News; Selling Power, Inc.; Worth; and many other publications. We depend on corporate participation and sponsorship to ensure that the students have the opportunity to learn and to network at this event.

Additional Opportunities:

We welcome donations of prizes both large (e.g., golf clubs, golf bags, HP laser printer, golf clothing, numerous gift certificates) and small (golf balls, hats, t-shirts, pen/pencil sets, etc.); and goodie bags for each player (tees, golf balls, cookies, hat, can cooler, sunscreen, etc.).

All proceeds from the golf outing will be used to maintain and improve NIU's professional sales program.
