In Fall 2000, the SPC's recommendations/feasibility study for a College Extranet was disposed to the College's Business Information Technology Transfer Center (BITTC) [now known as the Experiential Learning Center (ELC)]. Beginning Spring 2001, the former BITTC offices developed an Extranet prototype as per the recommended activities for this objective.
While not universally adopted by the entire college, the Extranet prototype was adopted by the OMIS department after modifications were made to it. It served as the OMIS department website, from 2001 through Spring 2003.
