Randall N. Beck Memorial Scholarship

The Randall N. Beck Memorial Scholarship has been established by the family of Randall Beck. The purpose of the donors in making this gift is to honor the life and memory of Randall Beck and to honor students in the College of Business at Northern Illinois University.

The Randall Beck Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to junior or senior business students enrolled in the College of Business upper-level business program. These scholarships will be made for one academic year and are renewable for students who maintain an excellent academic record and satisfactory progress toward their baccalaureate degree.

To be eligible for these scholarships, students must:

  • Have a declared major in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Operations & Information Management.
  • Be a full-time (defined as at least 12 hours per semester) junior or senior in the upper-level business program beginning with the Fall 2008 semester.
  • Have NIU cumulative grade point average of a minimum 2.75 (on 4.0 scale) or if a new transfer student have a transfer overall grade point average of 2.75 (on 4.0 scale) or higher.
  • Applicant must have worked for and saved for part of his/her tuition and not otherwise qualify for financial aid.
  • Preference will be given to residents of McHenry and DuPage counties in Illinois.
