Dr. Lee joined the faculty at NIU in the Fall of 2005. She received her master and doctoral degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Chih-Chen has a certification as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
Prior to coming to NIU, Chih-Chen has taught at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Florida International University in the areas of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, Statistics, and Forensic Accounting.
Chih-Chen's main research area is in deception detection and fraud detection. Her main focus is to identify behavioral cues that can differentiate truthful statements from deceptive statements. Her research has a lot of practical applications such as job interview screening, police interrogation, and audit inquiry.
Currently Chih-Chen teaches Accounting Information Systems and Forensic Accounting/Fraud Examination. Chih-Chen may be reached at cclee@niu.edu.
