The annual fundraiser conducted by members of Beta Alpha Psi concluded with a ceremony at Eduardo's on Friday, May 5th. The "winners" were Dr. Don Tidrick and D Zorea, President of Beta Alpha Psi.
$1,200 was collected this year for the American Cancer Society and the Brian Deets Endowed Scholarship Fund. The Brian Deets Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Beta Alpha Psi, the Accountancy Department's Honorary Society student organization, in memory of Brian Deets, an Accountancy major who was killed in a car accident on his way to class in February 2001. Each year since 2001, the members of Beta Alpha Psi conduct a fundraiser for the Brian Deets Endowed Scholarship Fund in order to provide scholarship monies to future outstanding students.
Kudos to Beta Alpha Psi, to Dr. Don Tidrick (Accountancy Professor and Beta Alpha Psi Advisor), to all the outstanding faculty and student participants in this competition, to the "winners"--Dr. Don Tidrick and D Zorea--and to the friends, students, staff, and faculty in Barsema Hall who contributed to the success of this incredibly worthwhile effort.
Below are photos taken of the event at Eduardo's and of D wearing the bunny suit.
