James Burton earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Washington (2002). Dr. Burton's research interests are centered around the interaction of personality and perceptions of fairness in a person's decision to engage in a variety of workplace behaviors. He also conducts research on the topics of abusive supervision, negotiation effectiveness, absenteeism and turnover. His research has been published in a variety of outlets, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Business and Psychology, and the Journal of Managerial Issues. Dr. Burton has been recognized on several occasions for excellence in teaching and research. He has also served as a consultant or seminar leader to a variety of organizations including Boeing and Verizon. Dr. Burton is affiliated with the Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, and the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society.

Anthony D'Andrea brings over 16 years of diverse experience in development, public relations and marketing to the Northern Illinois University College of Business. Before his appointment as Director of Development in September 2006, he served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). While at ICO, Anthony led the transformation of the College's fund-raising and public relations programs quadrupling private gifts and grants while playing a lead role in ICO's new logo, re-branding and community relations efforts.
In addition to his service at ICO, Anthony has held positions at the University of Chicago, Benedictine University and Marklund Children's Home. He is recognized for his ability to build consensus on important issues while at the same time achieving and exceeding fund-raising and public relations goals.
Anthony has also served as an able leader in the community. He was a member of the Wheaton Lion's Club for 10 years and served as President in 1995. He also served on the Near South Planning Board of Chicago and plays and active role in the Young Adult Ministry of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Anthony completed his undergraduate training at Illinois State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in public relations. He also earned his Master's of Business Administration degree from Benedictine University with an emphasis in organizational behavior. He lives in Geneva, Illinois with his wife Terran and two children.

Sonja started working at NIU in 1998 as a student worker in the Foreign Languages and Literatures Department (FLAL) while working on bachelor degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. After graduating in May 2001, she was employed first by Enterprise Rent-a-Car, then with Edward Jones Investment as an Investment Representative in Sept. 2001. In January 2003, she returned to FLAL as a civil service secretary and obtained an MBA in May 2006. In April 2006, having been nominated by the chair and faculty members in the FLAL Department, she was honored as one of the “25 Amazing Women of Northern Illinois University” award recipients. In July 2006, she assumed the position of Assistant to the Chair in the Psychology Department at Northern, and she will be joining the College of Business as Assistant to the Dean in January 2008.
Sonja lives in DeKalb with her husband of five years, Steve Koch, her two sons, Jorden (13) and Shawn (11), and their three cats, Scout, Baby and Petey.
Matt worked as extra help, first in Technology Resources and then for the Experiential Learning Center. He was hired as an IT Support Associate earlier this year.
Matt lives in DeKalb and graduated from DeKalb High School. He plans to take classes at Northern Illinois University in the evenings.
Matt has two pet rats named Pixel and Bit and a cat named RC. In his spare time he enjoys taking pictures with his digital camera, working with computers and spending time with his friends.

Leonard Lundstrum earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Indiana University, his M.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Lundstrum's research focuses on asset pricing and corporate finance and has appeared in such journals as Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Review and Journal of Portfolio Management. He teaches primarily in the investments area and has taught at North Carolina State University, Indiana University and the University of Illinois. He has also worked in merchant banking in Chicago, served as a consultant, and has moderated panels of financial executives and portfolio managers at symposia. He is a member of the American Finance Association and the Financial Management Association. He and his wife, Dr. Julie Reinhart, have two children.

Peter Magnusson earned his Ph.D. from Saint Louis University (2007) and holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in marketing from Indiana State University. Dr. Magnusson's research interests are in the area of global marketing, particularly focusing on the internationalization process and firm performance in international markets, country-of-origin effects, and the influence of culture and cultural differences in international business. His research has appeared in the International Marketing Review, Multinational Business Review, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, and the Journal of International Management. He is also a member of the Academy of International Business and the American Marketing Association, where his work has been recognized for research excellence. Previously, Peter has taught International Business and International Marketing at both the undergraduate and graduate level. At NIU, he is primarily responsible for teaching Principles of Global Marketing. Peter and his wife, Meg, reside in Sycamore, IL.

Candace earned her Associate Degree in Accounting from Joliet Junior College. She is currently working on her B.S. in Math Education here at Northern Illinois University and hopes to continue on to receive a Master's degree in Math Education as well.

Christine H. Mooney earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University (2005). Her research interests include strategic leadership, executive succession, and top executive decision-making. Her primary teaching responsibilities are in strategic management. Her research has been published in Academy of Management Learning and Education and Organization Dynamics.

Wendy Marcinkus Murphy earned her Ph.D. from Boston College (2007). Her research interests are at the intersection of careers, motivation, and relationships, particularly in terms of gender differences and the dynamics of developmental networks. Her primary teaching responsibilities are in the area of organizational behavior. Prior to joining NIU, Wendy worked as a fashion buyer in the retail sector. She has published her research in Women in Management Review.

Jane Nenonen has a long-time connection to NIU--student, alumna, employee. Jane taught high school English until she became a stay-at-home mom to three sons. She is am now in her 16th year at NIU having worked in the LA&S advising office and in the School of Allied Health Professions. Jane's three (soon to be four) grandchildren are a joy. She is an avid traveler and also enjoys reading, photography, cross-stitch and genealogy.

Paul Prabhaker earned his Ph.D in Marketing and an MS in Econometrics from the University of Rochester (1984). An accomplished teacher-scholar in the area of technology-enabled marketing strategy, Paul has published more than 50 articles in leading journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Psychology and Marketing, the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, the International Journal of Technology Management, and the Journal of Consumer Marketing, among others. As a teacher, Paul has received outstanding teacher awards from three different universities.
Over the last seven years, Paul has worked as Dean / Associate Dean with the University of North Carolina and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has employed his extensive familiarity with AACSB standards to lead these two schools to successful AACSB accreditation. On the global front, Paul has utilized his relationship-building skills to forge international academic partnerships with over a dozen overseas academic institutions.
Professionally, Paul has worked with the business community in the areas of strategy and technology/marketing interface. He is a frequent invited speaker in academic and professional conferences. Paul has been nominated and listed in Who's Who in the East (1987), Who's Who in Advertising (1990), and Who's Who in the World (1991).
Paul and his wife Vasanthi, a professional dietitian, live in Geneva, Illinois.

Mark Riley earned his Ph.D. at Texas Tech University (2007), a Master of Accountancy degree from New Mexico State University (2004), and his Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1987). He is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked in both public accounting and industry. Mark's most recent position in industry was as controller of a mid-sized publicly traded company. He grew up in central Illinois and has also lived in St. Louis, Missouri, El Paso, Texas and Lubbock, Texas.
Mark looks forward to teaching ACCY 432 in the fall and ACCY 331 in the spring.
Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is a baseball, football, and basketball fan and enjoys playing golf and reading, especially non-fiction. Mark and his family live in Sycamore, along with their two high-strung, but lovable dogs.

Jon Salvani began working at NIU in May 2005. He is currently a Gift and Estate Planning Officer with the NIU Foundation and primarily supports the College of Business. Jon is a 1996 graduate from NIU with a degree in Corporate Communication and a minor in Business Administration. After graduation, Jon began working for Allstate Insurance Company in various roles, including Sales, Human Resources, and IT Project Management. He was with Allstate for over eight years before coming back to NIU to serve in his current role. Jon is also a life member and trustee for Pi Sigma Epsilon, the professional sales and marketing fraternity, and also serves as a faculty advisor for the chapter at NIU.

Kim teaches the Career Planning in Finance course, FINA 395. Her additional responsibilities include student advising, coordinating the departmental internship program, and maintaining relationships with firms interested in employing finance graduates. Williams received her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Iowa. She has previously worked as an advisor at The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and Iowa State University. Kim lives in Belvidere with her husband, Joe, their two sons, Kaleb (5) and Wyatt (2), and their dog, Boz.

Shaokun Carol Yu joined the Northern Illinois University faculty in the Department of Accountancy. Carol has a bachelor's degree from Jilin University in China, a master's degree in accountancy from University of Houston. Her Ph.D in accountancy was earned in University of Houston as well. Carol is a Certified Public Accountant. She has taught different levels of financial accounting courses in University of Houston during her doctoral study. Carol teaches Financial Reporting I (ACCY 331) in the fall.
