Dan Arnold (B.S. Marketing 1983), founder of Road Ranger, receives the 2009 Master Entrepreneur of the Year designation during Ernst & Young's Midwest Ceremony
Dan Arnold (B.S. Marketing 1983), founder, owner and president of Road Ranger LLC, was designated the Ernst & Young "Master Entrepreneur of the Year - Midwest" for 2009. Ernst & Young's annual "Entrepreneur of the Year" competition spans nine categories and recognizes business leaders in more than 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world. Dan Arnold won the Master category for the Midwest region, which recognizes a very select and prestigious group of company leaders based in Illinois, Indiana, and West Michigan. The group of leading entrepreneurs -- selected through a rigorous evaluation process by an independent judging panel of business and academic leaders -- was honored during a Chicago gala on June 26th, at which time the winners in each category were announced. The awards are given to entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. As the winner of the Master category, Dan Arnold is eligible for the national level of the 2009 Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year program. The national level evaluates the achievements of all the regional winners. The ceremony for the national competition will be held on November 15th gala in Palm Springs, California, where the national winners will be announced.
The NIU College of Business is delighted and proud to extend heartfelt congratulations to NIU business alumnus Dan Arnold. Click here for Ernst & Young's news release on the Winners of the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program.
