Fund Recipients

Turning Point

The first recipient of the ELC Angels Fund Foundation was Jane Farmer, executive director of Turning Point, a crisis intervention 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency with a mission to confront violence against women and children in McHenry County, Illinois. Established in 1981, Turning Point served 1,754 clients in 2012 and responded to 5,228 crisis hotline and information calls. Its work provides life-changing and lifesaving services and secure shelter to those who suffer the horrific crime of violence perpetrated by those they should be most able to trust, in homes that should be their safe haven.

The Turning Point/ELC Project

The ELC Angels Team spent an exorbitant amount of time and effort researching, programming and preparing information in their presentation to Turning Point. The presentation was delivered energetically and in a self-assured and knowledgeable way that we could fully grasp and will definitely use. We left the final presentation with an awesome new website, knowing that the team felt as proud of their efforts as we did. It was an honor to work with them.

Praise for the Program

"The ELC team went above and beyond my expectations. Not only were they instrumental in producing a website that was clear and effective but they were powerful and extraordinary in what and how they presented. I am very proud to have participated.
