Operations Management and Information Systems

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Response

Our top priority at NIU is the health and well-being of our campus community. In response to the rapidly changing developments related to the global outbreak of COVID-19, the university has announced that classes will continue with virtual instruction. More information on this can be found on NIU's COVID-19 webpage. We have also adapted our services to a non-face-to-face format. As our goal is to ensure that there are no gaps in services, we will be monitoring email throughout this period. Please contact us if you have questions or need additional information.

We are here for you: Special message from Dean Rajagopalan to NIU Business students about COVID-19.

Academic Advising: The OM&IS Department is committed to meeting the needs of all students. To set up a virtual advising appointment, please reach out to the OMIS Department directly at omis@niu.edu

The OM&IS department has rolled out multiple different modes of communication (blackboard, collaborate, Microsoft Teams Video/Audio Chat, Email, etc.)  to conduct academic advising during these trying times. The OM&IS department will be flexible to the availability of each student, and make accommodations to ensure all students continue to receive attentive advising.
