College of Business Young Alumni Board
The Young Alumni Board (YAB) of the College of Business is an organization of recent business graduates who strive to add value to the College of Business and its students by sponsoring initiatives and activities that promote the professional development and career preparedness of current business undergraduate students. The YAB also supports the College Mission by serving as an advocate and sounding board for the Dean on issues pertaining to alumni and other College stakeholders. YAB membership also provides strong networking opportunities which can enhance member professional and social interaction with fellow alums and promote career success, while supporting the College of Business.
The NIU College of Business Young Alumni Board strives to add value to the College and its students by:
- Striving to create a strong connection between the College of Business and younger business alumni,
- Representing this unique alumni population in College of Business initiatives and activities,
- Dedicating themselves to the successful career development and preparation of current undergraduate business students, and
- Providing strong networking opportunities among alumni, students, and faculty.
The Bylaws of the Young Alumni Board describe the Mission, Organization, Initiatives, Finances, and Governance of the organization.
In general, the membership of the Young Alumni Board consists of a maximum of thirty (30) College of Business Alumni who have graduated with their business degree within the past ten years. Interested alumni who meet these requirements are encouraged to submit a completed Membership Application. Your submitted application will be acknowledged by the Membership Committee in a timely fashion.
The Executive Committee of the Young Alumni Board sets the goals and direction of the organization and authorizes Board actions in support of both its own and the College Missions. The current Executive Committee consists of the following positions and individuals:
